A bold and elegant expression of Italian mid-century lighting design, this set of four Murano glass sconces from the 1960s pairs sculptural form with a vibrant pop of color. Each sconce features an organic, asymmetrical silhouette composed of two overlapping glass elements: a translucent blue backplate and an opaline white central diffuser.
The fluid contours and layered composition create a dynamic interplay of light, color, and shadow—reminiscent of biomorphic design influences from the era. The blue glass backplate adds visual depth and a soft atmospheric glow, while the central white shade provides a gentle diffusion of light, ideal for ambient illumination. Finished with minimalist brass fasteners, the fixtures strike a balance between craftsmanship and restraint.
Hand-blown by Murano artisans, each piece is unique, showcasing the subtle variations and exceptional quality characteristic of Venetian glasswork. Perfect for elevating an entryway, hallway, or living space, these sconces offer a playful yet refined accent with strong architectural presence.
