This striking ceramic plate was produced by Radegonde, a French ceramic workshop active during the post-war period, notably in the 1950s and 1960s. The plate is distinguished by its bold sculptural rim, formed by a continuous sequence of glossy black looped elements that create a rhythmic, almost architectural silhouette.
The interior is finished in a vibrant turquoise-blue glaze, with subtle tonal variations and soft pooling that emphasise the handcrafted nature of the piece. The contrast between the luminous blue surface and the dark, highly sculpted border gives the plate a strong visual impact, balancing functionality with expressive form.
Both decorative and practical, this plate works equally well as a serving dish, a table centrepiece, or a decorative object displayed on a wall or shelf.
