Playful, sculptural, and unmistakably mid-century Italian, this rare set of three cloud-shaped sconces by Zonca captures the whimsical futurism that defined the 1960s design movement. Designed and produced in Italy, each sconce features a biomorphic silhouette reminiscent of clouds or inkblots—soft, irregular, and organic in form.
The diffusers are made of opaline white acrylic, which emits a warm, even glow when lit. The sculptural quality of the forms is enhanced by their three-dimensional depth, giving the impression of floating light sculptures. Mounted individually or as a clustered composition, these sconces bring an artistic and ambient quality to any wall.
Zonca, one of Italy’s storied lighting manufacturers, was known for pushing boundaries in form and material during the postwar period. This set exemplifies that spirit—merging functionality with expressive, almost cartoonish modernity. Ideal for residential or commercial interiors looking to introduce softness, movement, and character through lighting.
